Negative Feedback

Ampevene, Jupiter 2

Doors 7:30, Show 8p - $10 Adv, $12 DOS

Negative Feedback:

Negative Feedback is an alternative rock three piece based out of Raleigh, NC. Formed in 2024 by Brandon Hendry (guitar) and Will Hamilton (drums), with the later addition of Chris Vincent (bass), their music takes influence from hard rock and early alternative rock such as Queens of the Stone Age, Smashing Pumpkins, and Ty Segall. Their music is groove-heavy and melds punk aggression with melodic vocals.

Ampevene:

A pure listening and visceral experience, Ampevene blends a free form frenzy, jagged riffs, and hypnotic rhythms into a tight, psychedelic, sonic landscape, designed to trip up and trip out any listener. Ampevene draws influence from renowned artists such as Omar Rodriguez Lopez, Miles Davis, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, TOOL, Mastodon, King Crimson, John Frusciante, Black Midi and more, yet somehow manages to create something completely unique for their listeners. An Ampevene live show will walk you through an experimentation of sounds ranging from soft floating grooves to heavy math based confusion, and even downright noise. Yet somehow their complexity doesn’t outshine the pure emotion and even comfort that the songs exude at the same time. Ampevene has shared the stage with notable acts including Moon Hooch, Consider The Source, Echotest, Lespecial, Invalids, Aqueous, and  Felix Martin. Ampevene has also been included on several festivals, including Lark Fest, the biggest one day street festival in New York State.

Jupiter 2

Jupiter 2 formed in 2018 as the songwriting and recording collaboration of Chapel Hill, North Carolina-based multi-instrumentalists and longtime friends Nicholas Cirone and Ian Campbell. In their immersive live performances and recordings, the two construct hazy, starry-eyed, and hypnotic pop songs with vintage-toned vocal harmonies often set within textured layers of electronics, noise and field recordings. The duo self-released their third album “Cursory Glow” – their first new project in three years – on August 4th, 2023.
